Alzheimer’s Awareness Day

September 21 is dedicated to raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease, which is the most common cause of dementia.

Dementia is an umbrella term used to describe symptoms that occur when the brain is damaged by certain diseases, including Alzheimer’s.

We’re supporting the awareness campaign to ensure that Alzheimer’s Disease International have the support to continue:

  • Making dementia a global health priority
  • Reducing the stigma of the disease
  • Providing support programmes to empower those effected
  • Facilitating research to develop effective treatment
