The Prime Medical Group strengthens leadership team

Karen Turner and Gauri Saal join the comms agency

Global communications agency The Prime Medical Group has appointed Karen Turner as vice president of client services and Gauri Saal as principal medical writer in its Knutsford, UK office.

Turner (pictured) has over 20 years of medical communications experience, and will be responsible for providing divisional leadership across key accounts in both the agency’s UK and US offices.

She joins Prime Global from Watermeadow Medical, part of Ashfield Healthcare Communications, where she most recently served as a business unit director.

Prior to this, Turner worked at Gardiner-Caldwell Communications as a senior account director, having first joined the firm in 1995.

Meanwhile, Saal moves to the agency’s health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) team and also holds a research officer-ship at Swansea Centre for Health Economics at Swansea University.

Saal brings expertise in developing market access and reimbursement strategies and stakeholder-targeted HEOR communications to the role.

Graeme Peterson, The Prime Medical Group’s founder and chief executive officer, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Karen and Gauri to The Prime Medical Group and I’m very excited about the fantastic expertise they bring to what is already a very strong, industry-leading team.

“The Group has continued to grow in 2016 and both Karen and Gauri’s expertise will be utilised to support recent key new account wins, working with leading pharmaceutical companies.”
