A very warm welcome to the latest cohort of our entry-level training programme, IGNITE. This marks the seventh round since the programme’s inception in 2017, and features trainees across our Medical Communications and Evidence, Access, and Patient practice areas.
Welcome, IGNITE 7!
Starting off with eight trainees across our London, Knutsford, and New York offices, IGNITE 7 kicked off on Tuesday 31 May with an introductory session, so everyone could meet each other and see what’s in store for the next year. Welcome to Uzezi, Jin, Mathilde, Jake, Nikul, Alex, Philippine, and Khoula!
After transitioning the programme to be delivered virtually during the pandemic, IGNITE 7 sees a new hybrid model of delivery with a mixture of in person and virtual sessions.
What is IGNITE?
IGNITE is a structured programme spanning 12 months. As well as working on real projects within one of our teams, Ignitees participate in weekly training sessions alongside self-directed learning and community catch ups.
The programme is designed to provide training while you work, giving entry-level Prime Global people a solid foundation on which to build a successful career, including:
- Familiarisation with the medcomms industry and your job role
- Practice skills such as researching, writing, project management, and presenting
- A safe place for learning and development, where you can (and should) ask as many questions as you like
- A community of peers to share the journey
- A buddy on a similar career path, who can share their experience and their tips and tricks
- Understanding of the Prime Global approach and how we work
Previous Ignitees have gone on to celebrate promotions and build careers both within Prime Global and elsewhere. Hear from previous IGNITE graduates:
Pamela Lopez, now a Senior Account Executive
Cecilia Silva, now a Market Access Writer
IGNITE is part of our Prime Global Dojo, masterminded by our People Development team. The main point of contact for the IGNITE programme is Parveena Laskar – read an interview with Parveena here!
Parveena says, “I enjoy helping people in their careers, whether it’s with training or by supporting them with different aspects of their job. I love working with people and being able to empower them. So rather than saying, “this is how you should do it”, we say, “let us provide you with the tools you need to take your career development into your own hands.” I genuinely believe in this method and it is so rewarding to see colleagues progress.”
